Woo hoo! We Nevada honey at Whole Foods. Look for Al Bees Nevada Honey the next time you do your shopping.
We picked up a bottle of Al Bees honey earlier this year at the Apple Basket u-pick orchard, which was made by the same bees that pollinated the apple trees. It was delicious (Yep...ate it already!).
Nevada honey is also available at the Great Basin Community Food Co-op. Look for Hidden Valley Honey or Joy's Honey.
If you haven't tried it yet, honey is an excellent replacement for sugar in your coffee. If you're looking for another way to avoid the GMO sugar (unmarked, of course) that is hitting the supermarket shelf even as I type, this is a great alternative.

I live in south lake tahoe, ca and buy v & a honey (raw honey-my fave is the Carson Valley Bloom variety) they have a booth at our local farmer's market (may-October) but this particular variety is made in the carson valley, if you want his phone number it is on the label of my 46 ounce jar I bought last farmer's market in October, hoping to make it last! (did not want to just post a phone number here)

We have nearly 100 colonies spread across Carson City, Minden, Genoa and Garnerville and sell raw local honey and bee pollen. We aren't in the farmers market because last year we were denied because they only allow 1 honey farm. Can you help us get the word out we have been doing bees here in Carson for more than 3 years now. Our honey is available at Paul Schat's Bakery, San Rafael Coffee Company and directly from us.
